RSN has been providing home furnishings to low-income families and indigent adults since 1997 through our Retail Donation Partnership Program with Gifts in Kind International. The San Francisco Department of Human Services (SFDHS) Home Resource Referral Program (HRRP) has extended our contract (Oct 1- June 30) due to the success and high demand for this service (CHRP). This extension will help RSN cover some of the administration fees, (i.e. product storage costs, product administration fees, etc.) and help build RSN’s staff and infrastructure.
The CHRP warehouse manager Jordan Gabourie along with many volunteers and OJT program participants will provide the pick up & delivery services of the home furnishings to program participants. The Community Jobs Initiative Program (CJI) is a collaboration of community based organizations including: Asian Neighborhood Design (AND), Goodwill and SFDHS have provided 2 OJT participants which have been of great value to this pilot program.
The CHRP program got started immediately, delivering to the first participant under this agreement on
Oct. 2nd
